"What is there to do on Alligator Point?” If you have to ask, it may not be for you. This pristine, rural beach community is located an hour from structured entertainment and appeals to those who entertain themselves and whose favorite company is their own. There are no crowds, no strip malls, no movie theaters, and no t-shirt shops. There are, however, miles of unpopulated beach, endless fishing possibilities and close proximity to other natural treasures.This peninsula located 45 minutes south of Tallahassee offers tranquility that is unsurpassed. Fill your days with as much or as little activity as you desire. Walk miles without passing another person, cast a rod, catch shrimp, enjoy sunsets, collect shells or just gather your thoughts. The absence of noise and glaring lights makes for prime relaxation and exquisite stargazing. The various settings of this natural splendor give refuge to small and large animals alike. Wildlife inhabitants include black bears, white tail deer, bobcats, foxes, coyotes, otters, hosts of birds, and yes, just a few alligators – though, that is not the reason for the name. Civilization does exist nearby, but you’ll have to seek it out – or maybe not. "By the time you leave,we think you'll agree that you've found paradise!"
