St Teresa
St Teresa Beach is an unincorporated community of mostly second homes nestled in the trees along U.S. Highway 98 at the eastern end of Franklin County, Florida. Most of the homes are not visible from the road but driving by you can see the drives labeled with names.
Beach homes along St Teresa Beach are mostly owned by families Tallahassee and Southwest Georgia, and the properties are handed down from one generation to the next.
The state of Florida recently acquired the 17,000 acres of undeveloped land just north of St Teresa Beach. The property is being developed into a part of the Tate’s Hell State Forest as well as the new Bluffs at St Teresa State Park.
The park provides hiking, biking, and kayak access to the lakes and creeks located along Ochlockonee Bay as well as to Ochlockonee Bay itself.
Bay North is a mixed use development of townhomes and single family homes with a pool, tennis court, and community dock.
Summer Camp Beach is the most recent development at the west end of St Teresa Beach. Summer Camp is a St Joe Company development of new single family homes with access to the beach and a pool and clubhouse.
